How many credit hours is the program?

There are 36 hours in the program. (Course list here) Students also complete a capstone experience.

What is a "capstone" experience?

A capstone experience allows students to engage in a Master's level activity or project. Students will discuss and plan the capstone with their advisor. Choices for the capstone are: Program Portfolio, Thesis, Formal Research Paper, Comprehensive Written Examination, and Action Research Project. Here is more information.

What is the "clinical/field experience" required in ED 580?

The clinical or field experience allows students to engage in a real-world application of ideas, concepts, and skills. These experiences are carried out in classrooms and schools in settings appropriate to students' needs. Students and the course instructor will plan the clinical.

How do I enroll in classes?

Information about enrolling and admissions can be found in the Registrar and Admissions departments.

Can I just take courses without getting a Master's degree?

There is an "Easy Enrollment" for post-secondary students not working towards a degree or program taking six (6) or fewer hours with no financial aid. Contact the Registrar's Office for details.

What is the admissions process; how do I apply to the educational technology program?

How many courses can I take without being admitted to the MED program?

Students can take up to 9 hours before formal admission is required.

When are graduate courses going to be offered?

We offer at least one 3-hour educational technology course each semester. Required courses will be offered every other year.
